Group A Cassis, an ONG, non-profit that has existed for 25 years, (Founded on 13 June 1986) was implemented in order to address the issue of drug prevention campaigns / awareness and rehabilitation programs in the suburbs of Port Louis and its vicinities (Cited Vallijée, Bain des Dames etc..)

With the high unemployment rate coupled with a workforce unskilled and poorly educated which is mostly in the suburbs of Port Louis on the drug problem is rampant. Note that most schools ZEP (Zone D’éducation Prioritaire) - with a very low success rate of the Certificate of Primary Education) are in the suburbs of Port Louis and many businesses that operate illegally, after Hours authorized to sell alcoholic beverages.
